In the first quarter of next year (2022) a trademission is being developed in which Dutch companies in the ICT and Creative sector will seek opportunities to outsource and cooperate with service providers in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has become a strong player in the IT and creative sector with many qualitative companies and non-governmental institutions. As an instrument to develop better economic relations between the Netherlands and Bangladesh a plan is being developed how demand from Dutch companies in the ICT sector can leverage better with the supply from Bangladeshi partners
First, we should explain a few things. In a unilateral trademission, in this case an ''incoming" trademission, ICT and creative companies from the Netherlands are invited to visit Bangladesh. During a 4 to 5 days program, C-level members will be educated about the workforce, companies, skills, process of forming partnerships and setting up backoffices in Bangladesh.
The Netherlands is a relatively small country with a very high demand for high-skilled ICT and Creative workers in top-end areas of the ICT industry. Many Dutch companies have little knowledge about the possibilities of cooperating with Bangladeshi companies or forming backoffices in Bangladesh. We are firstly trying to identify the areas of strength of Bangladesh, so we can attract and interest Dutch companies to consider Bangladesh as a new ICT destination.
The companies we can find to visit Bangladesh are not defined yet. We are now in the process of identifying the strengths of Bangladeshi companies and where easy matching can be done so we can present those areas of excellence to Dutch companies. Without trying to be complete, we think at the moment of writing this, that there is a huge demand for well organised companies and teams in the areas of:
First, we will invite relevant companies from software associations to submit their profile. These companies will be asked to submit detailed information on their size, experience, international references and official certifications. When we find enough qualified service providers, these will be clustered and combined into skills-papers, describing each sector in detail with sample company and education backgrounds. These sector-reports will be presented to relevant possible partners and clients in the Dutch market.
During the process of forming the trademission, there will be virtual matching sessions, background and development sessions, and virtual matchmaking sessions. This represents an awesome opportunity to learn more on the Dutch market, which skills are in high regard, and which areas bring opportunities to coooperate and work with clients and partners from the Netherlands
The timeline of a trademission extends over a number of steps with lots of opportunities. We will explain each phase in detail
